Welcome to my blog

As a writer, my first area of interest is obviously my books, but for my blog I will try to address different writing issues or provide my own tips when it comes to writing or self-publishing.

My blog also includes shout-outs to and recommendations for other blogs or websites, book reviews or recommendation, and a few posts sparked by nothing but an area of interest at the moment or occasionally a complaint or five.

Songs to get your emotions up while writing

Maybe it's all the Teen Wolf I have been watching recently, but I've recently discovered that "Hungry like the Wolf" by Duran Duran will get my emotions up (despite the fact that I don't think that song has ever been played during Teen Wolf, which I'm sure is an oversight).

So here is the music video for you to rock out to and see if it can also get your blood pumping.

Include other emotion-inducing songs in the comments and maybe together we can come up with a writing playlist guaranteed to get the emotions flowing.

Great song.

Just listened to it again and definitely agree that would be a good one to write to. Especially when writing a sad or heart-wrenching scene.

How about "I've Been Watching You" by Rodney Atkins? Gets me every time because I think of my own kids growing up. I think it would be good for family scenes.

I can get behind the Star Wars song. I listen to Wagner because it has that same epic quality. The one by Rodney Atkins is good, Samantha. I'm glad you thought to add it to the list.
