Hello, I am J.R. McGinnity. I am a fantasy author with a bent toward low fantasy. I'm an avid reader and the proud "mother" of several works, including my recently published The Talented. Exciting News!

So recently, I have decided to offer The Bodyguard as a free ebook, not just as something that can be read for free on my site. As part of this, I have not only revamped the cover, I have also decided to rename the work. I felt that, upon reflection, The Bodyguard was not the most compelling name for the novel.

For this reason, The Bodyguard can now be read as The Emperor's Daughter. Over the next few days, you will be able to download The Emperor's Daughter on Amazon, Smashwords, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and other sites. It will still be free for anyone to read (Amazon will take a couple days to catch up with the "free" part, as it is currently listed at $.99, but it will get there.

I am also working on a sequel to this work, so if you're a fan, stick with me and I'll be putting out a sequel soon, possibly in the same one-chunk-at-a-time style as The Bodyguard was released in.
